Tragically, the world has not become a better but generally a worse place for many people, humanity, nature, and Human Rights.
The world needs you and more people who are committed to standing up for other vulnerable people and Human Rights. Defend democracy where you are, it cannot survive without you.
The Roman Republic, democracy, fell for two reasons, partly because of the “security” in the fight against the “terrorists” in Rome who perceived a threat from the “pirates” in the harbor and the city gave all power to a general. Secondly, democracy was lost due to the privatization of public spaces and public discourse when the land, the land of the people, was bought up and the small landowners and day laborers were controlled by a few oligarchs.
The question is whether the asylum seekers, the people who seek political asylum in our world find mercy and a safe sanctuary, when the sacred hospitality is dangerous? Is a country’s neutrality a possibility? The choice is between recognizing the rights of the oppressed or starting a war.
Daily fake news during several years that Russia is about to invading Sweden and Europe is just propaganda to sell military equipment to make money on war by creating fear in the entire population. They want you to vote for parties that want to spend money on war instead of your children’s school and healthcare and your pension.
Remember all the good people every day
Among all the dark black clouds of news consisting of misery, war, suffering and the hatred from social media that divides people, and societies, we must not forget all the good people – many good people work in hospitals, in schools, in nature reserves and help people, save animals and nature.
