The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security makes a warning, a red flag for the transgender people in UK and the Green Party in Sweden warns that the Swedish government is sacrifices transgender Human Rights and citizen rights for votes and that “it is dangerous. The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security writes June 30, 2025:
“The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security would like to bring attention to and condemn recent judicial and governmental developments in the United Kingdom, which attempt to harm transgender and intersex people in the UK by stripping them of privacy and segregating them as ‘others.’ The Lemkin Institute believes these moves are part of a broader process of erasure. It is not only government action but also the media narrative that has fuelled hostility to and debate about the humanity of trans and intersex people while ignoring their voices. We see evidence of genocidal intent and actions targeting these communities. In April this year, the United Kingdom’s Supreme Court (UKSC) delivered a judgment declaring that, for the purposes of the Equality Act (2010), “sex” refers to “biological sex,” which it did not define clearly.“
We in Sweden can also see after the Green Party’s warning that the Swedish government, the “Tidöpartierna”, has started the election campaign by trying to use a campaign, an incipient scapegoat policy against the civil and human rights of transgender people as an election issue. Where large parts of the population are lured to click “click-bait” on “news” in tabloid media and social media that slander transgender people and that demand an investigation into whether transgender people should not be allowed to retain their rights.
If it was election today the Swedish government, the “Tidöpartierna”, would lose the election.
We warn of the Swedish government’s scaremongering with fake news about transgender people in Swedish tabloid media and social media:
- For example, that transgender people’s personal identification numbers are disappearing from the population registration at authorities,
- That transgender people are dangerous,
- that the police cannot find a transgender person who has committed a crime if they “changed their first name”. The police have all the information – all old and new first and last names, as well as personal identification numbers (unique identifiers). Nothing is disappearing, the problem is on the contrary, so-called “Gypsy registers” (Swedish, “romregister”) due to old technological thinking.
- The Swedish government “forgets” in its press campaign to mention that even cis “biological” “white heterosexual men” who have committed crimes are allowed to change their social security numbers and their names if there is a risk that they will be subjected to retaliation.
Last year, January 27, 2025, we published for the anniversary of Holocaust Remembrance Day about historians learning more about how the Nazis persecuted transgender people during the genocide in Nazi Germany. A trial in Germany that showed that transgender people were victims in the Third Reich and the late apology of the German Riksdag in 2022. It is in the government, “Tidöpartierna”, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M), Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M) and Minister of Social Affairs Camilla Waltersson Grönvall (M) who want to question transgender people’s rights and to make it to an election issue (2026-01-13).
The Swedish people are now scared to death and need to vent their anger.
Therefore, it is dangerous that the Swedish government is starting a scapegoat campaign against transgender people.
The Swedish people have now been afraid for several years of campaigning with fake news that Russia is about to invade Sweden. People are not told that the reason for the constant drug-related murders, “shootings” and explosions in homes is because Sweden has become a tax haven with money laundering for the rich. In this way, the country has been made attractive to the international drug mafia with “international banking” which is the engine of the murders. Instead, the government wants to provide the populist solution with harshness by saying that the children exploited by the drug mafia should be in prison.
The Green Party in the opposition has written a response in the article “DEBATE: M sacrifices transgender rights for votes” in which they state that “The Moderates themselves were involved in designing the new gender identity law. Their u-turn is not only spineless – it is dangerous, writes the Green Party. …It brings to mind developments in Trump’s USA, where enormous sums of money have been pumped into transphobic hate campaigns with the aim of mobilizing voters through fear and suspicion.” (February 2, 2026).
The oldest and still active association for transgender people FPES, Full Personality Expression Sweden, chairman tells TV that it has been a long-term hate campaign that has been going on for several years and warns against painting the picture that transgender people are dangerous. That the new law from 2025 should not be changed and when it comes to “biological sex” and prisons, the qualified staff in prisons can make individual assessments. “Each placement is preceded by a careful risk and needs assessment where both individual circumstances and general conditions in the prison environment are taken into account,” writes the Swedish Prison and Probation Service to the TV channel SVT (December 22, 2025).
The Swedish government “Tidöpartierna”, the largest party the right-wing extreme Sweden Democrats which was started by Swedes with a background in Nazi Germany 1939-1945 where they were members of the German SS who participated in the Holocaust.
The Sweden Democrats voted in the Riksdag in the summer of 2013 to maintain the racial biological forced sterilization of transgender people. Transgender people were called in the Swedish legal text by the racial biological term “feeble minded” (“sinnesslöa”) until the summer of 2025 when a new law was passed to replace it from 1972.
Now the government wants to go back in time.
