A journalistic report from a student campus

GAZA sign scupture, artwork

We met some students at the tents on campus. Those students were afraid of being seen in pictures because they worried about illegal reprisals.

The background to the student protests is the development of the war between Israel’s current government with US support with weapons and IT technology, its war in occupying Gaza and Palestine as recent events have been:

On 20 May 2024, the International Crime Court, ICC Prosecutor Karim A.A. Khan KC filled in applications for warrants of arrest before Pre-Trial Chamber I of the International Criminal Court in the Situation in the State of Palestine of the following persons: Yahya SINWAR (Head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (“Hamas”) in the Gaza Strip, Mohammed Diab Ibrahim AL-MASRI, more commonly known as DEIF (Commander-in-Chief of the military wing of Hamas, and Ismail HANIYEH (Head of Hamas Political Bureau), and Benjamin NETANYAHU, the Prime Minister of Israel, and Yoav GALLANT, the Minister of Defence of Israel.

On 24 May 2024, the International Court of Justice, the highest court in the world order Israel, thus the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to stop immediately his military activities in Gaza.

On 10 June 2024, The Biden administration does not have discretion to aid and abet an ongoing genocide free from any judicial review, say attorneys, before a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, San Francisco, see the Center for Constitutional Rights case page Defense for Children International-Palestine et al v. Biden et al.

Many famous international artists who has expressed concerns over the war in Gaza has been stopped in their career achievements by various institutes in the Global North, like the world famous Human Right defender and visual artist Ai Weiwei. His new art exhibition has been cancelled after he posted on social media referencing the war in Gaza, and a further three exhibitions in New York and in Paris and Berlin – also been called off.

Also world famous artist Laurie Anderson was forced to withdrawn from a professorship at Germany’s Folkwang University of the Arts following an inquiry led by the institution into her pro-Palestine political stance.

Laurie Anderson has told stories in defend of the Human Rights for example bringing up the issue George Bush’s war on terrorism “axe of evil” a western “crusade” with her work Habeas Corpus about a 14 year old boy accused him of being an al-Qaeda operative and brought to the illegal Guantanamo Bay detention camp where he was beaten and tortured for eight years.

Anderson’s Habeas Corpus was displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm, Sweden in the Autumn 2023.

We believe that artists like Ai Weiwei and Laurie Anderson has defended the Human Rights and have strong ethics in these matter of defending their view of Palestine.

The students protesting are having the demands that are in line with Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel ( PACBI ).

The government police forces campus protest crackdowns in various western countries claims to be about anti-Semitism and policing order but is in reality about an autocratic agenda of neo-liberalism politics protecting the interest of large corporations, business and industry as Arielle Angel writes in the Guardian (May 2024).

Michael Kwet Yale University – Information Society Project writes about the United States, USA, is reinventing colonialism in the Global South through the domination of digital technology.

Many fear the United States, but do the United States have any real friends left in the world?

AI – The machine: – “It’s much easier to bomb a family’s home.

The tech industry of artificial intelligence, AI, has already started its voyage in committing war crimes and Genocides. All future war will be using AI tech against humans.

Al Jazeera writes about “How US Big Tech supports Israel’s AI-powered genocide and apartheid”, The Guardian writes about “‘The machine did it coldly’: Israel used AI – ..” ‘Lavender’ system in Gaza claim permission given to kill civilians in pursuit of low-ranking militants.

And Democracy NOW! Writes about “#NoTechForApartheid: Amazon and Google Workers Protest $1.2 Billion Deal with Israel”.

The arms industry, CIA, NATO and colonial wars

Students demonstrations – we remember during USA:s illegal colonial war in Vietnam and president Richard Nixon’s Water Gate scandal – hiding the secret tapes from the American public.

We remember also The Republic of Nicaragua v. The United States of America (1986) was a case where the International Court of Justice (ICJ) held that the United States had violated international law by supporting the Contras in their rebellion against the Sandinistas. The case was decided in favour of Nicaragua and against the United States with the awarding of reparations to Nicaragua.

We know that the United States is not a state party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (Rome Statute), which founded the International Criminal Court (ICC) in 2002.

Thus, the United States does not want to be part of the international community that is upholding the international law. The United States has never wanted to submit itself to the legal authority of the International Court of Justice, the highest court in the world, and has typically reacted aggressive to decisions by the Courts that are against to the United States political agenda in their world order of hegemony.

The United States only wants their political enemies to be tried at the courts. Like the Courts should be simple property of the United States.

We recommend the BBC documentaries of war crimes, displaying mass killing of unarmed tied and blind folded civilian prisoners committed by the CIA lead Western NATO military alliance in Afghanistan in capture and kill operations.

The abstract profiles of people to be killed where “a stick figure in Afghan clothes” as the coordinator of the special forces disclosed it in the documentaries adding he had “tons of papers” describing these types of profiles so really many Afghan people were targeted.

The documentary also showed that in the NATO country of Australia, similar actions as in a dictator state, the government ransacked a newspaper office on all evidence of that their military special forces has committed war crimes in Afghanistan.

The UN documents also unveil that Scandinavian NATO military are most likely using torture like in the case file of Denmark in Iraq.

We also remember Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse in Iraq that was a product of the CIA:s two torture manuals according to the world leading expert on the CIA – an American professor of history.

The illegal second Gulf war invasion of Iraq was also a product of CIA torture during “war on terrorism” where the false statement of “weapon of mass destruction” was obtained by torture according to the excellent professor.

The professor had already in the 1970s disclosed that it was the CIA that was leading the international illegal drug traffic and the CIA tried to kill him as an answer – the CIA did not care that he was an American citizen and an academic professor at an American university.

The brilliant professor did survive the CIA:s assassination by avoiding the local CIA henchmen abroad.

The bravest professor is Alfred W. McCoy.

This article is celebrating the courage of South Africa and the democratic legacy of their former late president Nelson Mandela. Read his book The Prison letters. Homage à Nelson Mandela.
