My name is Sjöfelt and painting is my great passion.
Bio
I have been a art student at art schools both in Stockholm, Los Angeles, London and Paris.
I am also a curious digital designer. I have worked many years with professional consulting with my own media company in London and Sweden after a leap of faith from Los Angeles. I live in Stockholm, I love to paint and I like nature and animals. I get a lot of artistic inspiration of the entire history of art which is available as a complete library of art images in our contemporary digital world and on the Internet.
Artist’s Statement
The alphabet of painting. ABC. An atemporal artist medium.
Slow images. I like it when the viewer can appreciate by mirror neurones a slow transformation over time in the painting of the artist’s efforts and spatial gestures have been recorded. Or when the viewer is required to an almost meditative perception of the complexity of the painting?
In the times of technological singularity we need narratives of humanity and our “slow” art more then ever as we are culturally shipwrecked in an ocean of digital entropy.
